maggie + paul // married!

For Maggie and Paul’s big day, we purposely scheduled an extended portrait session with just the bride and groom. This isn’t always possible, but when the bride/groom agree to a first glance, our schedules become much more flexible and the photos turn out much better (just sayin’!)

We toured MainStrasse Village in Covington for the whole afternoon. Thankfully, many of the restaurants and shops didn’t mind us hijacking their storefronts.

jennifer + adam // married!

Do you remember Jennifer and Adam? In contrast to their outdoorsy e-shoot, their glam wedding was comparable to any celebrity’s. Jennifer’s meticulous attention to detail helped the day to run very smoothly.

The ballroom at Netherlands Plaza downtown had us in awe. Crystal chandeliers and vintage murals everywhere! (We are very easily excited.) The choreographed 1st dance to “Fly Me to the Moon,” sung by Jennifer’s father had everyone in tears. And the getaway car: sigh. See for yourself.

kayli + jonathan // married!

For Kayli and Jonathan’s big day, we partnered with Cinevita Films at CrossRoads Community Church (which has the best kind of coffee…the free kind!) Lots of industrial backdrops were the highlight of our day.

Our clients always take us to the quaintest venues! For Katie and David’s big day, we discovered the Cope Environmental Center and all its glory. Katie and David kindly forgave us for getting lost and running late (I have since been placed on restriction from use of the GPS) and we had a beautiful day together.

Our first trip to Manor House! We are in love with it. Such expansive and gorgeous grounds, but we managed to find little pockets of solitude like an empty atrium with a classic wrought iron gate.

Joya was absolutely stunning this day (move over, Halle Berry!) We hope you know how lucky you are, Forrest!

monica + ron // married!

When our dear friends, Ron and Monica, informed us that they were planning on eloping to Hawaii or maybe Napa Valley, and then throwing a big bash for all their friends and family when they got back in town, we were disappointed.

But then they let us in on a very privileged secret: there would be no elopement. That was a made-up story. The big bash for their loved ones? Would turn out to be the actual wedding.

We watched as all the guests (even Ron’s own mother and sister!) arrived, suspecting nothing. Monica was not to be found. “Where is she? Oh, she must have gotten a little lost,” was Ron’s reply. Once all the guests assembled, Ron grabs the microphone, and announces, “Thanks for coming, Monica’s finally made it. Honey?…….”

Everyone turns in the direction of his glance to see Monica. In a white dress.

Goosebumps. Followed by screams.

The night concluded with yummy sangria, homemade thai food, and lots of dazzling personalities.

And of course, we rocked it out on the dance floor.

Ron and Sopa: we love you guys, and are so thrilled to see your happiness. We wish you nothing but the best and expect an invitation back to the ‘City View Cafe’ once you’re settled in. Now we know you’re not supposed to actually ingest the peppers (smile).
